Visioni Corte invites Hamed Soleimanzadeh

The Visioni Corte International Short Film Festival in Italy has invited Hamed Soleimanzadeh, an Iranian film critic, to jury at the event.

The Iranian artist will be a jury member at the international competition section of the Italian event’s 10th edition.

Besides being a film critic, Soleimanzadeh is a filmmaker, theater director, actor, author and a university professor. He is currently a member of Fipresci, Iranian Short Film Association (ISFA) and the European Children’s Film Association (ECFA).

He recently attended the Cannes Film Festival as a jury member of the Fipresci Critics Awards.

The upcoming edition of the Visioni Corte International Short Film Festival will take place on September 18-25.

This year a lineup of Iranian films including ‘Vedas’, ‘Better than Neil Armstrong’ and ‘The Recess’ will also take part in the fest.

The festival aims to “spread the talent of young emerging directors in the panorama of Italian, European and international cinema, pursuing the aim of merging culture, territory and tourism, with a particular interest for innovations in the field of cinema,”, according to an online submission platform.
